Taster/Hobby Courses Courses

Here at KCPB Essex Training Academy, we feel that it is important to give our students the option to ‘try before they buy’ as such. Below are a list of taster courses/lessons in Hair, beauty and Nails. They will equip you with knowledge needed for home-use but do not include all of the content required to become a professional. They will, however, enable you to see if you enjoy your chosen subject before you buy the accredited full version, if you wish. They are also ideal if you’d like to advance your skills for yourself/family etc at home. Please note that none of the below courses are accredited. If you do choose to sign-up for one of our accredited courses upon completion of one of these taster courses, we will also offer you a 10% reduction in price for the accredited course.

Plaiting 1:1 or Private Group Lesson

 

This taster class/session runs for an hour and will give you an insight into the world of plaiting! It is a great way of seeing if Hair-Styling is for you if you are thinking of a career change. It’s also ideal for mums/dads/Nan’s/Grandads who would like to learn for that special little lady in their life!

Full Cost: £25 for 1:1, £20 per learner for a group

Duration: 1 hour – within this time, people ordinarily learn between 1 and 6 different styles of plaits.

The accredited Hair course is fully accredited by the Beauty Guild and will enable insurance and Guild membership upon completion, meaning you can start your own business as a hair-stylist immediately.

Hair-up Training

This taster class/session runs for 2 hours and will give you an insight into the world of hair-up! It is a great way of seeing if Hair-Styling is for you if you are thinking of a career change. It’s also ideal for mums/dads/Nan’s/grandads who would like to learn for that special little lady in their life!

Full Cost: £25 per hour for 1:1, £20 per hour per learner for a group

Duration: 2 hours

Gel Polish Lessons

This taster class/session runs for 2 hours and will give you an insight into the world of gel polish! It is a great way of seeing if being a nail technician is for you, if you are thinking of a career change. It’s also ideal for people who would like to learn The technique of gel polish application and removal for themselves at home.

Full Cost: £25 per hour for 1:1, £20 per hour per learner for a group

Duration: 1 hour
