I am a Multi Award Winning Hairstylist and set up KC Plaits & Beauty as a Bridal Hair service (alongside some beauty services) in 2016. By 2017/2018, I had been asked A LOT to show people some tricks of the trade, and so I took that decision to train as a teacher and branch-out into offering accredited training courses. I’ve studied both long and short courses, some great, some terrible (unfortunately!) and so it’s super important to me that you receive the top-quality course that you deserve, whether you decide to train here in-person or online.

For me, beauty is more than just surface-layer. Our job is literally to make other ladies look and feel amazing. They may come into us feeling a complete mess, but we have the knowledge and the power to be able to ensure that they leave feeling confident and on top of the world – who wouldn’t love to be able to do that for other ladies!? Not only do we offer the service to enhance their natural beauty, but we are also there with them throughout, listening to them (and this is where the ‘therapist’ section of our title comes in!).

So, I love all of my students and looking at all of our 5 star reviews on the Facebook page, I’d like to think that they are really happy with their training experience. I pride myself on making my clients feel comfortable enough with me to trust me enough so that they can really learn, without fear of judgement etc. Any question is welcome, and I’ll always do all I can to help!

Then, 2020 hit…and we all know how that one goes! But rather than just shut-down KCPB for the duration of Lockdown, I decided to fight for my business (it is, after all, one of my babies!). I got the courses accredited with The Association of Beauty Therapists (ABT) which allow online training, and we actually ended-up blowing-up over the Lockdown.

This made me think back to all of my wonderful students who have struggled with setting up their business. They’ve excelled with their training but then not known where to go from there. Then came my most exciting transformation to-date! I branched-out into business coaching, especially targeting the Hair/Beauty industry. Since doing so, I have been able to help countless women to build their kick-ass business and follow their dreams by working on both their business strategy, as well as their mindset (this is where my psychology and counselling training comes in so handy!).

Although KCPB is now a very successful business, I of course made my fair few mistakes in the early days. I know what works because I’ve lived it and done it. I know what it takes to take your business to the next level – I think the fact that I have gone from being £10k in debt a few years ago to now easily earning £5-6k a month is proof in itself that I know this industry.

And the great news is – I can show YOU how to do that, I WANT to show you how to do that. I am on a mission to empower ladies to realise their potential – to see their inner strength (that I like to call their inner-lioness) – and to use this to become their own success story.
